If you watch too many movies, you will certainly have the wrong impression of antichrist. And this is done on purpose to derail you further.
But we can see clearly from our opening verse that antichrist is simply one who denies that Jesus is the Christ.
It sounds so simple, but if you do not understand what it means for Jesus to be “the Christ”, you will not understand what it means to be antichrist.
“Antichrist” is the greek work “antichristos”, which simply means the adversary of the Messiah. Who was the Messiah???
In Mat 11:2-3, it is recorded: “Now when John had heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples, And said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?”
And in Mar 14:61 the high priest asked Jesus, “Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?”
So who is the Christ??? If you don’t know, you may be supporting the agenda of antichrist unknowingly.
