Today’s Devotionalโฆ
The clearest physical revelation of the man Jesus Christ can only come from the testimony of the original apostles who were, literally, eyewitnesses of the events of His life.
You can not have a complete revelation of Christ as human based on a vision, dream, or a one-time “encounter.” Neither does it come with the laying of hands.
The closest experience anyone can ever have of Christ as human can only be by genuine fellowship with the original apostles through the account of their testimonies, which are enshrined in the sacred scriptures.
1Jn 1:3, That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
Denying the testimony of the very eyewitnesses of the man Jesus Christ is, by implication, the projection of a strange doctrine that nullifies the humanity of Christ, without which He can not fit into the office of the “Messiah”.
Luk 1:2 says, “Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word.” They qualified to be ministers of the “word” because they were first of all eyewitnesses.
According to the account of the three witnesses in this devotional, the divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ are established – making Him fit to fulfill the law and prophets. Ponderโฆ
May the Holy Spirit help you to have fellowship with the original apostles through their authoritative writings so that you may experience the complete revelation of Christ, in His holy name. Amen
