(KJV) And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
Today’s Devotional…
It was God who decided to call Abraham righteous simply because Abraham believed in Him. Abraham did not earn righteousness by obedience to the law but by FAITH.
Today, many people try to attain righteousness through the laws of Moses; but long before Moses came,ย God had already devised a way to make man righteous in His sight without works.
Would you rather believe in God’s way of determining righteousness or Moses’ way (which failed according to Rom 8:?) Remember, God is the ancient of days, long before Moses.
Romans 4:5 says: “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness”
So clearly, righteousness is not obtained by works but by faith, for no one can boast of earning God’s righteousness.
May the Holy Spirit reveal your account of righteousness to you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
