THE WRATH OF THE LAW

Romans 4:15
(KJV) Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.

Today’s Devotional…

In other words, the law provokes punishment instead of a reward because where no law exists, there can not be a violation of the law. Ponder…

Do you know that the only way to avoid breaking the law is to have no law to break? Yes, the law only indirectly sets the stage to bring punishment on those who try to obey it.

And, unfortunately, according to Romans 8:7b, human nature is not wired to obey the law but to break it; thus, “the law worketh wrath”

Now, knowing that the law is this dangerous, it is only natural to seek that which is better than the law, and that is love.

Rom 10:4 KJV For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

Jesus Christ came to deliver you from the wrath of the law unto the love in righteousness.

May you enjoy this gift of love, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
