Today’s Devotional…
Before you desire wealth and fame, read through the portion of scripture above again, and meditate on it.
What many preachers today project as proof of God’s approval in one’s life is simply material wealth. But that is not what the scriptures say.
Even Jesus, while He was still on earth, admitted that the poor, we would always have with us; indicating that He did not come to solve financial problems.
Also, financial challenges are not necessarily a sign that God is not with you, nor is financial affluence proof of God’s approval. On the contrary, wealth can attract diverse temptations that may overwhelm you and drown you. Watch out!
Seek Christ and His righteousness (which is God’s gift to mankind), and all other RELEVANT things shall be yours in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
