Today’s Devotional…

It took a very long time for the followers of the law to accept the bitter conclusion that the law was given to reveal their guilt and silence all mouths that dared to think otherwise, rather than to make them righteous.

In our opening verse, the apostle Paul says “…Now we know…” This indicates that they came to this understanding 2000 years ago. But unfortunately today, many people still think that by observing the law, they can gain righteousness. Sad

The law of Moses accomplished one major purpose: It made the entire world appear guilty before God, sparing no one. Many Christians still can’t handle this fact…

This alone should explain to you why it is written that Jesus Christ is the end of the law.

Rom 10:4 KJV For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

This simply means that Jesus Christ came to release a guilty world from the grip of sin so that they could step into the righteousness of Christ, thereby escaping the death penalty that loomed over their lives since the fall of Adam.

Today, just as the law presented all men of the old dispensation guilty before God, Jesus, (who is the end of the law), presents all men guiltless and perfect before God.

May the Holy Spirit open the eyes of your understanding to catch these mysteries, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
