Today’s Devotional…

Who is he that condemns? Our opening verse reveals that it is Christ’s responsibility and not man’s. And this is because only Jesus knows the exact requirement for condemnation or justification.

John 8:10-11 talking about the woman caught in the act of adultery, records: “When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more”

When the one who has the mandate or responsibility to condemn you rather sets you free, then you are free indeed.

Jesus said to the woman “Neither do I condemn you”, not because the woman was right, but because He knew how much He came to pay as ransom for her liberty from the bondage of sin.

In John 3:17 Jesus made it clear that God did not send Him into the world to condemn the world, but to save it; for how can you save what you condemn. Ponder…

Jesus does not condemn the world (again) because He knows how much He paid in person, (even with His own blood), to redeem the same world from sin.

In fact, Jesus sits at the right hand of God making intercession for the people He rescued by simply presenting His wounds to the Father as a reminder. (For if He who knew no sin did suffer pain and death, it must have been on behalf of He that sinned – Adam)

Today, many have taken upon themselves to create a new “Ministry” of Condemnation according to the standards of men, forgetting that God gave men the Ministry of Reconciliation instead.

When men, society, or even churches accuse and condemn you “illegally,” (for it is not their responsibility,) remember that the only one who has the power to actually condemn you, long justified you, and is actively interceding for you before the Father right now.

May the Holy Spirit grant you understanding, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
