Today’s Devotional…
Until your life becomes an open letter reflecting the gospel of Christ, you are not yet spiritually mature, and your pastor cannot rest yet.
What proves your understanding of the gospel and eventual growth is not financial breakthrough as the church today has taught, but the extent of your reflection of the life of the glorified Christ – righteousness.
It is unfortunate that many Christians struggle to “prove” to people that they know Christ when their lives were supposed to do that for them even without words.
St. Francis of Assisi once said: “Preach the gospel at all times; if necessary, use words.โ
When your life becomes a living letter in which everyone can see Christ clearly, you no longer need words to preach to people but simply your day-to-day life.
As a good disciple or Christian, all you need to do to preach the gospel with all clarity is to live your life normally, and men will see proof of the preaching of your pastor – which is the finished works of Christ.
May your life become a living epistle of the gospel, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
