In Christ, sinful men were made the righteousness of God. Not by merit but by the justice system of God.
No, it is not injustice for sinful men to be made the righteousness of God, because Jesus, who was the righteousness of God, was unjustly made sin.
To satisfy the justice of God, sinful men just had to be made righteous, since Jesus Christ who knew no sin was made sin. This was all God’s doing – this was the Great Exchange.
Many people today believe that for any individual to become righteous, he must observe some very strict laws to attain that state; but these same people cannot explain what Jesus did to become sin. Ponder…
If you cannot justify how Jesus Christ the righteous one became sin, then you cannot question why sinful men were made righteous.
In Christ, you are the righteousness of God. This is the LORD’S doing, and it is simply marvelous in our eyes.
Understanding this eternal truth will help you live a virtuous life on earth as the very righteousness of God.
May the Holy Spirit open the eyes of your understanding to see this righteousness in you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
