Today’s Devotional…
After the apostle, Paul encountered Christ, he did not receive all the good promises as would have been expected with our “born again” experience today.
What Paul received from Jesus were instructions on how to be taught to “see” Christ as He truly is.
Paul was led to Ananias to open his eyes – the eyes of his understanding. And you don’t pray understanding into someone. You teach them.
Ananias taught Paul the undiluted truth of the gospel of Christ, and he willingly accepted.
Have you ever wondered why many people “give their lives to Christ” one moment and “take it back” the next? It is because instead of engaging them in intensive teachings for the revelation of Christ, they promise them a “safe haven,” which never really comes.
The “born again” experience should not just be seen as a graduation from the “world” but as an admission into the school of Christ. Until you get the perfect knowledge of the finished works of Christ, you cannot experience your full liberty in Him.
May the Holy Spirit help you find liberty in Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
