JESUS COUNTED THE COST…

Today’s Devotional…

Jesus did not die by surprise. He knew everything he had to suffer before it came, yet He went on. This is why Jesus never resisted any encounter He faced. Ponder…

Jesus counted the full cost of salvation before He engaged the “project.” Ponder…

It was Jesus who asked this question: “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it?”

So, Jesus would not have taught these things and then fail afterward to sit down and count His own cost. No, Jesus counted the cost and saw that he had EVERYTHING that was needed to pay the price for sin in full without asking help from humanity.

This is evident in Luke 9:22 where Jesus said of Himself: “The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day”

Jesus knew exactly how much salvation would cost, and He made sure He had the full amount before He began the bargain. On the other hand, no man had any clue what the price for salvation was; for had they known, they would have ceased from their struggles.

Jesus Christ counted the cost and paid the price for sin single-handedly. No man contributed to the payment for sin, yet Jesus gave the total package of this salvation to man as a gift, completely free of charge.

It cost Jesus everything to pay for salvation, yet He gave it all to man completely free of charge. What a priceless gift!

May the Holy Spirit reveal to you the true value of the salvation package you enjoy today, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
