YOUR PROBLEM IS THE LAW

𝟮𝗖𝗼 𝟯:𝟭𝟱 𝗞𝗝𝗩 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁.

Today’s Devotional…

Many Christians argue that Jesus did not abolish the law; but if they had known what the law truly represented, they July would have wished Jesus had actually abolished the law.

What you do not realize when you try to uphold the law of Moses is that it is the very thing that blinds you and prevents you from seeing the truth that sets you free.

In the previous verse, 2Corinthians 3:14 records: “…for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ…”

The number of laws you know and try to keep simply determines the extent of your blindness regarding the Truth, and the severity of your bondage under the law. Ponder…

The law doesn’t make you free, rather, it keeps you in bondage because it conceals the truth from your heart.

Your problem is not demons, hardship, ancestral curses, or sickness. Your problem is the law of Moses that you are struggling (unsuccessfully) to uphold.

You may think you see, but if you are still stuck with the law of Moses, then it is the very thing that has hindered you from seeing the liberty that has long been reserved for you in Christ since His death and resurrection.

May any veil from the law still hanging over your face be taken away from you today, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Preachers of Christ are not motivational speakers, but devout men and women who preach Christ; from His birth to the cross, and to His glorification.

Nowadays, multinational speakers get so much attention and popularity that some pastors have decided to become motivational speakers, simply seasoning their talks with “a pinch of Jesus”. Laughable.

While motivational speakers are trained to say what their audiences want to hear in a bid to motivate them towards a desired direction, gospel preachers are called to preach only Christ; through whom the sin of the world was taken away.

In the days of the apostles, the world probably had more problems than we have today, and desiring to hear something motivational to solve those problems, yet, the apostles gave them nothing but the gospel of Christ.

That is what Paul was talking about in 1 Corinthians 2:1-2: “And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified”

So, whether there be financial problems, marital problems, health problems, etc, if “Christ and Him crucified” is not enough for you, then you are looking for a motivational speaker and not a pastor. But ironically, your solutions lie in the foolishness of the preaching of Christ, and not in the enticing words of your motivational speakers. Ponder…

These are the days of 2Timothy 4:3-4 which says: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables”

But if the preaching of Christ does not motivate you enough to give me attention, let it be known to you that I will still preach Christ crucified – for that is the only gospel.

May the Holy Spirit replace your hunger for motivational messages with the hunger for the gospel of the finished works of Christ, in His holy name. Amen
