STICK TO CHRIST

𝕁𝕠𝕙𝕟 𝟙𝟝:𝟙𝟠 𝕂𝕁𝕍 𝕀𝕗 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕨𝕠𝕣𝕝𝕕 𝕙𝕒𝕥𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦, 𝕪𝕖 𝕜𝕟𝕠𝕨 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕚𝕥 𝕙𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕞𝕖 𝕓𝕖𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕖 𝕚𝕥 𝕙𝕒𝕥𝕖𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦.

Today’s devotional…

Why would the world hate the very one who came to save them? And why would the world hate the ones who continue to preach the salvation of Christ?

The world hated Christ, not because they did not need salvation… but because they did not understand their bondage.

While they expected Jesus to save them from slavery, Jesus had the mandate to save them from something bigger than physical slavery – that was mental slavery.

To this day, Christians still don’t know what Jesus saved the world from or why he even came at all. That is why they continue to reject and hate Jesus and those who preach Him undiluted.

Just like people had different expectations of Christ many years ago and so rejected Him, so do many today have different expectations of Christ and do reject Him.

To many, they expect Jesus to be a healer, a prophet, a deliverer, or a worker of miracles. Any “Jesus”, therefore, who does not give them these qualities is rejected and hated, and so are those who preach Him without those qualities.

If you only knew the package that God reserved for you as heritage in the finished works of Christ, you would appreciate and make use of that precious gift.

Instead of hating Jesus and those who preach Him for not meeting up with your expectations, take time and study Him to find out who he really is and what He has in store for you.

Righteousness (that is, sinlessness) is the only gift Jesus Christ gave to all mankind since His crucifixion and resurrection. If you understand and possess this righteousness, then “every other thing shall be added unto you”. Ponder.

May you never hate your Savior but study to see the full spectrum of His love for you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
