Today’s Devotional…
It was the ungodly that were justified; not those who worked by observing the law. Ponder…
Righteousness, according to our opening verse, is not obtained by one’s works but received by faith as a gift from Jesus Christ.
If you believe that Jesus Christ justified all the ungodly, then you possess the righteousness of God consciously.
But if you think that it is the obedience of the law that can make you righteous, then you have simply rejected the sufferings and eventual death of Christ, which was the unique ticket into righteousness.
Refusing to recognize the justification of the ungodly by Jesus Christ, simply means you possess the righteousness of Christ unconsciously. And when you are unconscious of your righteousness, it becomes useless to you. Ponder…
So, are you righteous? (Read the opening verse again.) Selah!
May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
