Today’s Devotional…
God is faithful. Yes, God is trustworthy, and you can rely on Him to lead you even with your eyes closed. God is not just faithful for a season, God is an eternal being, so His faithfulness is FOREVER.
God’s faithfulness towards you is NOT a response to your actions towards Him, but a unilateral act of His responsibility as a father to you.
You can safely trust in God, you can confidently rely on Him – He is indeed faithful. Remember, according to Jeremiah 29:11, God is the one who has the plans for your life; plans to prosper you and to give you a satisfactory end.
Who else would you trust but the one who has good plans for you in His hand, and also the willingness and power to accomplish them? Surely, you can trust God.
You don’t have to come to Him with an open mouth pouring out requests and ultimatums, but with listening ears and an open heart willing to align with what he has in store for you for every season.
1 Corinthians 2:9 says: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” So, why struggle when God has your back all the time?
If God could give you His righteousness which is the most precious thing in existence, what else could He hold from you? Surely nothing. So why worry when your Father has everything figured out?
Proverbs 16:2-3 says: “Everything a person does seems pure in his own opinion, but the LORD weighs intentions. Entrust your work to the LORD, and your planning will succeed”
So, don’t try to act smart. Let God be the father, the master planner, and the leader; and you, just be a child and a faithful follower.
God is faithful. I pray that you will be able to trust in Him and rely on Him in all things, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
