Today’s Devotional…
You are uncondemned; you are perfect in Christ.
Many Christians who still don’t understand who Jesus was, and the significance of death, find it quite difficult to reconcile the fact that they are uncondemned.
Jesus Himself, in John 3:17, said that God did not send Him into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him should be saved.
This is why in John 8:10-11, when the woman caught in the act of adultery was brought to Him, Jesus did not condemn her even though she was guilty according to the law.
Besides, who is the one to condemn? It is the same Jesus Christ who was interceding on our behalf the sinners. He died, and more importantly, was raised and is seated at the right hand of God just to justify the sinful man. (Romans 8:34)
The only reason why the world stood condemned before God was because of sin, and Jesus is the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world. So, what more could man be guilty of? Nothing!
Rom 5:18 spells it out very clearly: “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of One the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.”
May the Holy Spirit enlighten you in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
