Today’s Devotional…
In the creation of the world for the first Adam, God had to create light to help him navigate his environment. But in the creation of the world for the last Adam (Christ,) God came Himself as light to shine in the hearts of the new creation and illuminate the world in which they would live, move, and have their being. See John 1:4-5 below.
“In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not”
God created the first light in the beginning for men to see the world in which they lived, but came Himself at the fullness of time as light to shine in the hearts of the new creation, for a purpose. See 2 Corinthians 4:6 below.
“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ”
God is done with the old. Now we are in the new, where His light shines forever! See Corinthians 5:17 below.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”
May the Holy Spirit grant you deeper insight into these scriptures, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
