Today’s Devotional…
Under the law, sin had all dominion; but under grace, sin has no place.
The reason why sin has no place under grace is that something else has total dominion, and that is righteousness.
Just as righteousness had no place under the law, sin has no place under grace.
Sin cannot dominate both under the law and under grace.
The era of the law and the era of grace are two mutually exclusive jurisdictions, where sin and righteousness, respectively, ruled.
Sin was an outcome of the law, and righteousness is an outcome of grace, and not vice versa.
Under the law, sin was inevitable for that was the purpose of the law. Under grace, righteousness is unconditional because it is the purpose of grace.
May the Holy Spirit grant you deeper insight into our opening scripture, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
