Today’s Devotional…

Stay humble, your time will surely come when God Himself will announce you before kings and people that matter.

Elisha was known only by his humble history of having “poured water” on the hands of Elijah his master, even though he was already a full-fledged prophet.

Elisha did not try to prove his prophetic prowess in order to gain fame; but he remained humble and continued to identify as a mere servant, until the day God announced him before the strongest kings in the land.

Your problem sometimes is just impatience. When you become too ambitious that you leave the position where God kept you and start seeking fame, you may miss your season of divine announcement.

Imagine that Elisha, feeling that he was not getting enough recognition in his land, had decided to go and begin “ministry” in another land, he would never have been opportuned to stand before kings.

Has God called you to serve somewhere in a humbling position? Stay there and remain faithful. In due time, God Himself will announce you and present you before people who matter.

Stay humble and patient, at the right time, God will create a pending need in the hearts of kings that can only be satisfied by that which you carry.

So, don’t be worried, you are not irrelevant or miserable, you are just patient and waiting on God. And your glory will surely come at His appointed time.

May the Holy Spirit grant you patience in the area of calling, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
