Today’s Devotional…
Until mainstream religion edits some verses like this out of the Bible, they will never be able to twist the gospel truth or the salvation history of mankind.
The apostle Paul, in our opening verse, makes it quite clear that there was a predestination of a people, who, before their birth, were designated to share the very likeness of His Son Jesus Christ, who would be the firstborn of a new creation. Wow! How could anyone miss that!
For if Jesus has to be firstborn and these predestinated individuals share the same identity with Him, then they could only be in Christ, and could never have been before Christ! (Ponder, and may the Holy Spirit make this clear to you)
No, Paul was not pointing to a select few who would work had to get their salvation by merit; he was pointing to a time in history that would be the end of an age, and the beginning of another. Paul was talking about the Kainos Ktisis (the New Creation) which would only be defined by Christ and in Christ.
The above scripture makes it clear that from the beginning, the salvation assignment had always been God’s plan independent of man’s will, works, or opinion.
The old dispensation man did not understand this and tried to “help God” save men from sin through the law, but only succeeded in making it worse. The law magnified sin and condemned mankind.
Listen, you have the identity of Christ, and this truth is older than time. It was decided upon within the Godhead way before creation existed, way before you came.
Struggling to resist this truth is struggling to fight the Ancient of Days – the Almighty and All-powerful God. Relax and enjoy your identity.
God knew you, He knows you now, and He sees you perfect in Christ according to His good pleasure.
May this eternal truth never depart from you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
