According to the scriptures? Yes! According to Isa 53:7, it was recorded that the Messiah would be oppressed and afflicted, yet would not open his mouth. He would be brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers, but would remain dumb.
Looking at the life of the man Jesus, the apostle Paul (and many others) could recognize Him as the mysterious being described in the scriptures as the Messiah.
We preach that which is from ancient times. Jesus did not come on his own or as an accident, He was the fulfillment of ancient prophecies from scripture.
Jesus came and died to take away the sin of mankind. This is not new, but these are the “β¦ancient words, ever true⦔
May your focus remain on the fulfilled scriptures, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
