It was prophesied that Christ would suffer, die, resurrect, and enter His glory. Today, almost everyone knows that Jesus Christ suffered and died; however, many misunderstand His glory.
So, what is the glory or splendor of Christ? The glory of Christ reveals itself in the perfection of man.
To understand the glory of Christ, you must first understand the purpose (or assignment) of the Messiah.
In John 1:29, the prophet John the Baptist revealed that Jesus was the Lamb of God who would take away the sin of the world. Therefore, Jesus could only be glorified if He succeeded in His one assignmentโto take away sin.
However, according to the scriptures, sin was never placed on animals or plants. Only humans were accused of sin. So, to measure Christโs success, God only had to observe man and see if man had become sinless. And indeed, man was!
Your righteousness is the glory of Christ; without it, Christโs glory would remain pending because He already suffered and died. But God forbid!
You are righteous in Christ and perfect in Himโthat is His glory.
May this glory never fade away in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
