PERVERTING THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST

Today’s Devotional…

There are over 4,200 organized religions in the world today, and, unfortunately, Christianity is one of them. Just one.

And, within Christianity alone, there are more than 45,000 distinct denominations, with about 30,000 of that number in Africa alone.

If these numbers don’t bother you, then you are not yet thirsty enough to drink from the pure wells of truth flowing from the heart of God.

Of the 4,200 organized religions, almost all of them “try” to tell you about God; yet all of them hold completely different views of Him, making it almost impossible to know God through organized religion.

And before you start quoting, “Christianity is a lifestyle and not a religion,” you must first of all answer the question of why we have 45,000 distinct “lifestyles”, just to express one truth, about one God. These are all distractions.

You underestimate to what extent the enemy can go, just to pervert the gospel of Christ. One of the smoothest ways is through organized religion and Christian denominationalization.

That is why today, we do not preach any region, but we preach Jesus Christ and Him crucified. He is not a religious leader, He is not even a Christian. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the whole world regardless of religion or denomination.

Calling the name of Jesus in a church doesn’t necessarily mean that the gospel of Christ is being preached in that church. Most churches use the name Jesus only as a brand to validate and market their religious merchandise.

Jesus is the only gospel for the world. Not for Christians alone but the whole world. For  He is “the Lamb of God” who took away the sin of all mankind, not only “Christians” Ponder…

May the Holy Spirit expose all religions before you and reveal the purity of Christ apart from them all, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
