Today, when you mention the power of God, many Christians immediately think of men “falling under anointing”, healing, deliverance, or prophecy.

But what is the power of God according to our opening verse? It is THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS!

So all the so-called manifestations of the power of God in your churches could just have been mere manipulations of the powers of the spirit realm, and not the true power of God.

The power of God is demonstrated in the detailed description of the sufferings of Christ before and on the cross, and the divine significance of that.

It was on the cross that God defeated the devil and freed all mankind from the bondage of sin. That is a real demonstration of power.

So, to demonstrate the power of God, preach the sufferings of the cross and its significance (of a totalitarian salvation), until you can present every man perfect in Christ.

A manifestation of signs and wonders without the cross is NOT a demonstration of the power of God; the preaching of the cross is the POWER OF GOD.

May the Holy Spirit grant you understanding of the mysteries of the cross, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
