Today’s Devotionalโฆ
Jesus said, โWherefore by their fruits ye shall know themโ (Matthew 7:20). You cannot have fruits of something you are not. An orange tree can only produce orange fruits. So, our opening verse is letting us know that if we are righteous, we will have the fruits of righteousness.
In John 15:5, Jesus said, โI am the vine, ye are the branchesโฆ.โ And it is common knowledge that the beauty of a tree is in its branches.
Being the โbranchโ of Jesus Christ means you carry the beauty of the Son of God. Hallelujah! You are the fruit-bearing part of the vine, and you bear fruits of righteousness. That is what your life is about – the manifestation of His righteousness.
You have been established as a tree of righteousness, to produce fruits and works of righteousness. Meaning that the things that come out of your life (like your words, your actions, etc); should be those things which bring praise and glory to God.
Isaiah 61:3 calls us trees of righteousness – planted by the Lord of hosts, that He might be glorified. Godโs glory and excellence are expressed through you. Ponderโฆ
The people of the world should see you and recognize the excellence and elegance of the Spirit of Christ. When Jesus spoke divine words to encourage and bless people, He was manifesting fruits of righteousness. And as He is, so are we in this world.
I pray for you today that your life will be a testimony of Godโs glory and grace. His beauty will be expressed through you, and this will be your heritage, in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.
