Today’s Devotionalβ¦
The cross of Christ was the end point of all sin. No single sin made it through the cross, not even one.
The cross was the refining furnace that separated the sinful man from his sin; and brought him through to the other side of the cross spotlessly clean and sparkling.
The Passion Translation puts it this way: “β¦canceled out every legal violation we had on our record and the old arrest warrant that stood to indict us. He erased it allβour sins, our stained soulβhe deleted it all and they cannot be retrieved! Everything we once were in Adam has been placed onto his cross and nailed permanently there as a public display of cancellation⦔
So you see, the man in Christ has a totally different spiritual DNA from that of the man in Adam.
The old man was formed from the ground in Eden, but the new man came from the pure Spirit of Christ after the cross of Calvary.
Today, we do not live before the cross and we not not live on the cross; we were born after the cross and we live after the cross.
May the Holy Spirit reveal to you the mystery of life after the cross, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
