Many people pray for God to bless them, yet many still can’t define “blessing.” God will surely bless you, but you need to get equipped (or informed) first.

To many people who ask God for blessings, what they simply need is money and nothing else. But is money really a blessing? Or is money all that there is in divine blessings? Certainly not.

God has a wide range of blessings, all of which He had already given you even before you asked. But how can you access what you don’t appreciate or even acknowledge?

Just as litmus paper reveals the acidity of a substance, money reveals the hidden character of a man. Money in itself is powerless; its power is determined by the person in whose hands the money is found.

If you give the same amount of money to different people, it will reveal the different things that were hidden in them when the money was absent. It may reveal love, compassion, and humility in one, and in another; pride, arrogance, and wickedness.

According to Eph 1:3, you have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. But because you do not value these blessings, you keep on admiring only people who have money as though God’s spiritual blessings were a curse.

When you are awakened to your riches in Christ, you realize that you are blessed with so many wonderful things that money can never afford.

Unfortunately, some people are indeed so poor that the only thing they have is money. Can money buy you health? Can it buy you sleep? What about the air you breathe, how much can you pay for 500kg of air? Ponder…

Until you deal with the evil nature in you, God may choose to prevent money from coming your way because the money could even destroy your life.

Many people do not realize that the stumbling block on their path to wealth was actually divinely positioned to keep them from destruction and from revealing the ugly nature in them that may bring shame to the name of Jesus Christ.

Money is a nonliving thing that receives life from the people who have it, according to the life in them. The good or evil life you give your money is the hidden life you had.
Ponder…

May the Christ in you be the revelation that money will bring out for the world to benefit from, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
