Today’s Devotional…
Everyone in Adam was born in bondage and lived as a slave to sin.
Everyone in Christ is born free; and is a slave to righteousness.
And just as the man before the cross could not break free from the bondage of sin, the man after the cross cannot break free from the bondage of righteousness.
Everyone who lived before the crucifixion of Christ had the identity of Adam; everyone who lives after the cross has the identity of Christ.
This is the simplicity of the gospel.
You were born free, by parents who were liberated from sin in the death and resurrection of Christ. As for you, you have never been in Adam, never been in the bondage of sin, and were simply born righteous!
May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
