Today’s Devotional…
Incarnation comes from the Latin incarnatio, meaning โin the flesh.” So, who or what was in the flesh?
John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And verse 14 says the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst men.
Can you imagine that? Simply put, God traveled to earth and wore an earthly suit just as humans who travel to space wear a space suit. The suit that God used on earth was the body of Jesus.
So, while men saw Jesus to be 100% man, He was equally 100% God. This is the mystery that theologians describe as “The Hypostatic Union” – the two natures of Christ.
But why would God leave His home in heaven to come to earth in the first place? It was because He had built for Himself a better home in the hearts of men. Abba Father
Listen, you are that “temple of God not built with human hands” God lives in you!
And if the creator of all things lives in you, don’t you think it is imperative to find where He is in you? Ponder…
May the Holy Spirit help you to take a journey inward until you become awakened to His presence in you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
