What is the “message” you here when you go to church every Sunday? Pause for a while and try to remember one of such messages…

It might have been an interesting subject; but remember, no matter how interesting a message may sound, if it is not Christ, it may just be bad news wrapped in a parceling paper that looks like the gospel.

Sometimes in our churches, our pastors only preach as they “feel” and not necessarily what they should preach. Error!

Despite all the challenges you may be going through right now, the gospel remains Jesus Christ. We don’t preach ourselves or even other people, we preach Christ and Him glorified.

Many people expect their pastors to address their issues immediately after they climb onto the pulpit. Some even leave the church in search of a “better church” where the man of God will “locate them” with prophecy instantly. What a shame!

Listen, if it is not Christ it is likely to be “another gospel” And when you consider what the Bible says about another gospel, you might want to reconsider carefully what you listen to.

Even though the gospel of Jesus Christ may not necessarily sound like it is addressing your problem directly, the solution you seek is mysteriously hidden in its simplicity. This is a secret many don’t know.

If Jesus is the Christ, then He has fulfilled the mission of the Christ, giving us the gospel of Christ as the best message.

May the Holy Spirit help you keep your focus on Jesus Christ alone, in His holy name. Amen
