WOE UNTO YOU
The “Scribes and Pharisees” of today are those who will spend millions to organize crusades across different countries, and when they get one “born again” member, they make him a slave of their religious systems.
They tell you that all you need to do is just to “give your life to Jesus”(whatever that means,) and you will be eligible for their heaven, and all your problems shall be over. But after you follow their counsel, they now tell you that you have to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling”, without ever showing you how exactly.
They take you from the streets, promise you that your sins are forgiven, then invite you to their church, and tell you that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” They make you more miserable in their churches than you were in the streets.
They promise you peace and prosperity in the streets, but when they bring you to church, they give you an unlimited number of conditions you must meet to receive any blessings at all.
They tell you in the streets that God loves you, and then they bring you to their church and tell you that you must obey all 613 laws of Moses (laws they themselves don’t know, let alone obey,) just to earn God’s love.
They promise you financial liberty in the streets, and make you a slave of money in their churches, giving conditions that you must pay your tithes faithfully, and sow seeds regularly before you can qualify for the least financial blessing.
They do everything to make you a member of their church, and they impose on you laws that, even for themselves, do not work. Woe unto youโฆ
All these are the consequences of ignorance – the lack of knowledge of the finished works of Christ.
The world was lost helplessly in sin, Jesus came, paid the price for sin, and liberated man eternally unto righteousness, for His glory. That’s the summary of the gospel.
May the Holy Spirit open the eyes of your understanding, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
