Religion silently pushes ignorant Christians into a frenzy, desiring righteousness through their efforts, but rejecting it as a gift.
They step into an endless loop of frustration, where they struggle to overcome sin by all means, yet will fight anyone who claims to have overcome sin, as well as anyone who tells them they have overcome sin. Ponder…
So, yes, you need help; not financial help. You need help to be redeemed from mental slavery.
You are on a mad search, looking for what is not lost, and what you can never get. You are looking for peace, but actively engaging anxiety. You really need help.
Romans 10:3 says: “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God”
You will never be able to establish your own righteousness apart from Christ, no matter how hard you try.
Righteousness is a gift, freely given to mankind in the package of the finished works of Christ. If you don’t accept it, you can never get it otherwise.
Don’t be a “wretched man” again looking for someone to deliver you from this frantic search for righteousness. You were born righteous. That was your inheritance in the finished works of Christ.
May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
