Today’s Devotionalโฆ
In the book of Matthew, chapter 6 when Jesus taught His disciples how to pray, He told them to begin with “Our Fatherโฆ”
When you say “Our Father”, you understand that every other person around you is also a child of the same Father (God).
At a time when the Jews had already concluded that God was exclusively their Father, Paul declared in our opening verse that He was also the God of the Gentiles!
When God told Moses that He was the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob, He was not giving a complete revelation of Himself, but a partial revelation according to what Moses could handle.
Any narrative that projects God as Father only of a select few, is not the gospel – it is a false narrative.
No matter how evil or rejected a man may feel, if he did not create himself, then he is still God’s child, and God is his father.
This consciousness of constantly beholding God as Father, is what makes many people eventually see themselves in the glory that God created them with, and then begin to comport themselves accordingly.
God is your Father, you are not an orphan, you are not a biological mistake. Never stop looking up to Him, for He is always on hold, waiting for you to pick up the line again. Abba Father!
May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
