You are perfect in Christ, and blameless before God. However, all of this was not achieved through your efforts.

When you truly understand your perfection in Christ and how it was gotten, you cannot boast, for you know you did not earn it, and indeed, you cannot.

When people boast of how much better they are than others based on works, it is simply an indication that they do not understand righteousness.

Righteousness is a gift that was given to all mankind by Jesus Christ. It was not dependent on the behavior of the men who should receive it, but on the abundance of the One who had it to give. Ponder…

If you have come to the consciousness of your perfection in Christ, and that has made you begin to live in the glorious light of the gospel, it doesn’t give you room to boast. For though you live a better life, you both have the same gift. Ponder…

When you become awakened to your righteousness in Christ and truly understand how it came about, the only thing you can do is pray for those who are yet to be awakened and not criticize or demean them.

Boasting of your righteousness in comparison with others is simply a sign of ignorance – ignorance of the price Christ paid, and the gift of righteousness.

The proof of your understanding of your righteousness in Christ is humility. Yes, those who receive gifts (completely free) do not boast, but humble themselves in recognition. Ponder…

May your boasting only be in the Lord who gave you this precious gift of righteousness, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
