Today’s Devotionalโฆ
Sin created an imaginary separation line between God and man; but the death of Christ wiped away this separation line and brought reconciliation between God and man.
At a time when all humanity was at enmity with God, Jesus Christ appeared, not only to bring reconciliation but also to save mankind from the bondage of sin.
After the reconciliation, the salvation of mankind was established. God achieved this by dealing with the sin that empowered the separation in the first place – He blotted it out.
Think about this: of what use would the reconciliation have been if God had let sin continue to be man’s master? No, God had to save man from sin.
If you believe in the reconciliation between God and man through the death of Christ but not in salvation from sin, then you do not believe the gospel.
It is not “gospel” that God decided to dwell together with sinful men through reconciliation, but rather that after the reconciliation, He removed the one thing that made the coexistence of God and man impossible – that is, sin.
If sin still exists after the reconciliation, then God has made Himself one with sinners, questioning why there was separation and enmity in the first place. Ponderโฆ
After the reconciliation came eternal salvation from sin. Ponderโฆ
May this truth provoke a meditation that will open your spirit to relevant truth according to the times in which you live, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
