THIS IS POWER!

Today’s Devotional…

Power is not when your prophet blows air on you and you fall to the ground but when he explains the scriptures to reveal the totalitarian salvation of all mankind. Ponder…

In Romans 1:16, Apostle Paul writes: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

To God, true power is the simplicity and somewhat “foolishness” of the salvation strategy – God, stepping in to justify men after “many offences”

If you have agreed that by one man’s disobedience, sin came upon all men, then you are indirectly admitting that sin must be very powerful!

How best then should God demonstrate His power except that He should by one man as well, bring justification upon all sinners?

For if God through Christ could not reverse the fall of Adam and its consequences, then Adam’s disobedience should be more powerful than  Christ’s obedience, and sin is more powerful than righteousness. But God is Almighty, all-powerful! Abba Father!

If you think making sinners righteous without any effort is foolishness, you are not the first, but God is bigger than our thoughts, as Paul clarifies again in 1 Corinthians 1:18: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.”

Man is perfect today before God thanks to the finished works of Christ. That is power, and that is the gospel!

May the Holy Spirit open the eyes of your understanding in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
