Do you believe in Jesus? Well, your answer is not quite necessary, for the proof speaks louder than your words.
If out of your belly, can flow “rivers of living water”, then you truly believe in Jesus, whether you say it openly or not.
But no matter how loudly you may say you believe in Jesus Christ, if your life does not become a source of life to other people, “you lie and do not the truth”.
You cannot believe in Christ and keep it a secret. Flowing rivers cannot be hidden, especially when they are flowing with living water. Living water attracts those who thirst for life, and imposes life on all that it comes in contact with.
When you truly believe in Christ, everything that comes out of your heart will be so rich in life that people will naturally gravitate towards you to draw from your life and be filled with life as well.
When you believe in Christ, every encounter you have with other people changes them. It leaves them full of life because you are a source of life.
Just as a river does not negotiate with anything in its path whether or not it wants to get wet, a believer in Christ flowing with “living water” does not bargain with people whether or not they want to have life; he just gives them life.
It is quite difficult for one river to dry up, but for many rivers to dry up, it is impossible. If the Holy Spirit is flowing from your heart like many rivers, then you can never run dry.
Do you believe in Jesus? May your life become the visible answer for all men to benefit from, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
