Today’s Devotional…

The raising back to life of Lazarus was more profound than just a miracle; it was a prophetic unveiling of the salvation of mankind through death in Christ, and the assignment that had to follow thereafter.

The sick Lazarus represented the sinful mankind awaiting the death penalty, his death signified the complete payment for sin, his resurrection represented the gift of life to the forgiven human race, and the request to loose him and let him go, was the assignment that was to follow.

You see, even though Lazarus had received the resurrection and the life of Christ, he still needed to be loosed from his dead wrappings (law) that kept him bound, to be able to experience his liberty.

In Christ, you are born free. The only thing holding you back right now is the bondage of the law that was not supposed to be here today, because Christ was the end of the law.

Liberty is your heritage in Christ, but if you don’t loose yourself from the laws that the religions of this world impose on their gullible followers today, you will remain in spiritual bondage, even in Christ. Ponder…

May the Holy Spirit grant you understanding in the name of Jesus. Amen
