Today’s Devotionalโฆ
Generally, human beings are a product of what they hear, see, touch, smell, or taste. And, in our churches today, we hear and see a lot of things, which tend to build our belief systems or our spiritual identity.
Note that every piece of information carries different weights depending on the source of the information. For example, information from a pilot in an aircraft, a doctor in a hospital, or a pastor in church; cannot be treated as lightly as information from a regular friend you play with.
And, in the eyes of many Christians, pastors occupy a very sacred position, sometimes considered as the very place of God. So anything a pastor says (even a lie) forms the soul of the individual who believes it and begins to control his life involuntarily – which can be interpreted as being “possessed”
And taking advantage of this, many pastors directly or indirectly (intentionally or unintentionally) create demons in their followers when they make them for example believe that the reason for their hardship is due to an altar from their village and that only his deliverance can free them.
I mean, after such a teaching, what do you expect the Christians to do when you call for deliverance? They will definitely accept that they are possessed (because things are indeed tough for them) and then they will submit to your scheme to deliver them in the hope of a better life (of course which never happens)
Listen, any “pastor” who casts a demon out of you probably put the demon in you in the first place through teachings that relate to your current challenges. Demons are hardly cast out from people in the streets or people who are doing well. Ponderโฆ
If you preach demons, you will have a church to cast out demons from, but if you preach Christ, you have a church of man and women glowing in the glory of Christ. You cannot be passed by what you have never seen or heard; that is why most “deliverance sessions” look the same – just copy work. Ponderโฆ
So, if you don’t want to be “possessed” by church demons, listen to the undiluted Gospel of Christ and spare yourself the humiliation of falling in church where they will focus the camera on you and use your image to do a show that only gives glory to a man who properly is not operating with the Spirit of God.
May the Holy Spirit help you to focus only on Christ as the gospel message so that you should never be involved in any drama that glorifies men, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
