Long before the coming of Christ, God revealed something deep to the prophet Habakuk – something almost unthinkable at the time.
Although the prophet might not have understood the revelation at the time, God instructed him to write it down and not doubt that it would come to pass.
God was telling the prophet about a future where the faith of a certain man would justify men. Of course, at a time when the law was the master, how would the prophet have reconciled this mystery in his mind?
But indeed, at the right time, God sent His Son Jesus Christ whose faith saved mankind and fulfilled the longstanding prophecy.
What a privilege to be born in time to live the fulfillment of this powerful prophecy! What a precious gift, to be able to stand boldly before God without sin or condemnation, all because a man paid it all for you. Think about thatโฆ
The righteousness everyone in the Old Testament labored for but never got, has been given to you today completely free of charge, all thanks to the man Jesus Christ. What else can you say but thanks?
May the Holy Spirit give you a grateful heart to appreciate the faith of Christ that gave you unrestricted access to Abba Father, in His holy name. Amen
