𝗠𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟱:𝟯𝟰 𝗞𝗝𝗩 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲, 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗘𝗹𝗼𝗶, 𝗘𝗹𝗼𝗶, 𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶? 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝘀, 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗺𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝗺𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗲?

Today’s Devotional…

When Adam realized in Genesis 3:9 that he was naked, he hid behind a tree, and God asked: “Adam, where art thou?” But when Jesus was completely naked, hanging in front of a “tree”, He called God and asked: “…lama sabachthani?” Abba Father! Ponder…

If your spirit is open, then you should clearly see that Jesus indeed was the second and last Adam who came to reverse the fall of Adam and to completely restore the relationship between God and man.

It was shame and the guilt of disobedience that pushed Adam behind the tree, but dignity and the pride of obedience brought Jesus before the cross. This was no coincidence!

Adam thought he could hide his sin from God by hiding behind a tree, but he did not know that no one could ever take away his sin by simply hiding it. God simply used Adam’s approach by covering his nakedness with leaves – an act which did not take away sin, so it was Jesus’ glory to take. Abba Father!

It was Jesus who understood the assignment. He understood that only God could take away sin. So He came, took the sin of Adam upon Himself, brought it back to the front of the tree (that is, the cross), and asked God to take it away, and He did! Abba Father!

Yes, when you have nothing to hide, you don’t run away from God, but you run towards Him with an open face.

But even Moses, who brought the law, had a veil on. Ponder…

When Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, had completely taken away the sin of the world and had reconciled all mankind back to God, He opened the barrier so man could boldly come before the throne of grace, without a veil. Abba Father! (Heb 4:16, 2Cor 3:18)

Listen, if you are alive today, then it is the sinless life of Christ that is in you. And just as Christ had nothing to hide, come before God any time with boldness, not counting on your works, but the finished works of Christ. Selah.

May this understanding call you to the consciousness of living a Christ-worthy life from today, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
