There are many “church businesses” that specialize in what they call “healing and deliverance”, and are sadly even named as such.
However, upon examining our opening verse, true healing was achieved when Jesus healed the brokenhearted from sin, and true deliverance was realized when He freed sinners from the bondage of the law and sin.
Yes, true healing is healing from sin, and true deliverance is deliverance from the law. These were already accomplished in the death of Christ, and those were forever.
The “healing and deliverance” that is staged in some churches today where men fall sick all over again after their healing, and get possessed all over again after deliverance, is not the gospel.
This has metamorphosed into a psychological warfare where you find strong and healthy men seeking to attend a crusade simply because it is titled “healing and deliverance”.
To be healed or delivered, you must first of all be sick or possessed. So, to get a “healing and deliverance” crusade ground filled, they first of all have to either directly or indirectly inject mental sickness or demons into the people. Ponder…
Some Christians have been so brainwashed that they believe they will always be sick and repeatedly possessed. This is why they go from one prayer line to the other, and one deliverance session to the other.
True healing should be once and true deliverance should be once. For what is the need to get healed from Malaria just to prepare your body to contract typhoid? And when a demon leaves you with the freedom to return at will, isn’t that mere vacation? Ponder…
Don’t you know that Christ lives in you and that Light and darkness cannot cohabit? Yes, you are one with Christ, not with sickness or demons. You don’t need healing or deliverance, you need to focus on the Christ in you, and you will experience divine health and eternal liberty.
May the Holy Spirit continue to enlighten the eyes of your understanding, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
