Yes, I owe you love and you owe me love as well. That is the only debt we all owe each other – love.
Do you think that you can please God by obeying the commandments? I don’t think so. How do you even intend to obey commandments that you cannot list down?
Do you know how many laws exist in total for you to observe? 613! Yes, that’s how many the theologians have identified from the scriptures for you to obey.
No, you cannot obey laws you don’t know. Even if you knew all the laws, it would still be impossible to obey them because the law was given to reveal sin and not remove it. Feels frustrating right?
But what if I told you that there was a shortcut to fulfilling the entire law of Moses? Yes, just one debt paid, and all 613 laws fulfilled – that is LOVE.
This is the formula God used to fulfill the law through Jesus Christ – He paid the debt of love to the whole world. (John 3:16)
In Jesus’ own words: “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Joh 15:13 KJV.
Follow the same formula; pay your debt of love to all men, and the beauty of your righteousness in Christ will become a reality to you.
