Yes, sin was real. Yes, it was in all men. And yes, justification was real as well. And yes, justification was for all men as well.
Jesus did not engage in a failed mission. He had faith to come take away the “sin of the world” in the words of John the Baptist. And yes, He did.
No matter how strictly you may observe the law, if you cannot accept the gift of justification from Christ, then you can never attain justification.
The faith of Christ was enough to save all mankind from sin. His faith alone justified all sinful mankind.
God does not need your faith to validate the death of Christ. Jesus’ faith was enough to validate His own death and make room for the justification of all sinful mankind.
Your belief is only an awakening to tap into the privileges of living in righteousness. Your doubt simply denies you those privileges,ย but can’t undo or reverse the faith of Jesus or His death. Ponder…
May the eyes of your understanding be continuously enlightened, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
