LABOUR IN VAIN

𝙻𝚞𝚔 𝟷0:𝟺𝟷-𝟺𝟸 𝙺𝙹𝚅 𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝙹𝚎𝚜𝚞𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎𝚍 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚜𝚊𝚒𝚍 𝚞𝚗𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚎𝚛, 𝙼𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚊, 𝙼𝚊𝚛𝚝𝚑𝚊, 𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚏𝚞𝚕 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚋𝚕𝚎𝚍 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚖𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚜: 𝙱𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚗𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚜 𝚗𝚎𝚎𝚍𝚏𝚞𝚕: 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝙼𝚊𝚛𝚢 𝚑𝚊𝚝𝚑 𝚌𝚑𝚘𝚜𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚐𝚘𝚘𝚍 𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚝, 𝚠𝚑𝚒𝚌𝚑 𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕 𝚗𝚘𝚝 𝚋𝚎 𝚝𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚗 𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚢 𝚏𝚛𝚘𝚖 𝚑𝚎𝚛.

Today’s Devotional…

Sometimes, we can get too busy with our ambitious human activities thinking we are offering service to God, whereas God does not even recognize it.

In the portion of scripture above, Martha was busy cooking and serving food to Jesus and His crew, thinking she was doing such a great service that her sister Mary needed to come assist her; but Jesus didn’t think so.

Whereas food is important, Martha surely didn’t know that Jesus sometimes had “food to eat that no one knew about.” as recorded in John 4:32

Listen, you do not serve God the way you think best, you only serve Him the way He desires.

Sometimes, just listening attentively, and eventually understanding the gospel of Christ, is more valuable in the eyes of God than offerings and sacrifices.

According to our opening scripture, the only thing that will never be taken away from you is your knowledge of Christ; for in it, your identity is revealed.

Never get too busy with religious activities and rituals that you forget the eternal thing which is the knowledge of Jesus Christ.

May this mystery sink into your spirit gently, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
