Yes, love your enemies and do good to them if you still have enemies. That is what Jesus recommends.
Difficult as it may sound for many people, it is possible to love people who may not like you and do good to people who hate you. But this can only be achieved when you give your heart entirely to the Holy Spirit.
To love your enemy is not a commandment that one can obey. It is simply the nature of the man in Christ. When you are completely soaked in the consciousness of your identity in Christ, you will realize that just like Jesus, you no longer have enemies.
Jesus, even on the cross waiting to die, did not even hold anything against the very people who hung Him on that cross. Instead, He prayed that they may be forgiven. Think about thatโฆ
It is common to hear people even in churches today asking this same Jesus to kill their enemies. But remember that it is better to make a friend out of an enemy than to be alone at their funeral, for two are better than one.
Remember, it is easier for God to change a man than to kill. Jesus died once and for all. So change your prayer topic.
May the God who has the power to turn a heart of stone into a heart of flesh turn your enemies into your friends and allies, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
