Today’s Devotionalโฆ
Have you ever wondered what really gives God pleasure? Now you know. Way before the foundations of the world were laid, God thought of you with a beautiful smile on His face.
Yes! The mere thought of you in Christ made God so happy that He decided to place it in time and put a seal on it – that is predestination.
Predestination comes from the Greek word “proorizoฬ” which simply means to decide something beforehand. So God decreed from eternity the adoption of mankind through Christ. Abba Father!!!
God’s predestination was a conclusion that was sealed and independent of all external influences and so could not be changed or altered by any future factors. So, the adoption of sons through Christ was not dependent on man’s contribution but was solely determined by God.
Now, we are not the adopted children, but we are children of the adopted ones. (For when Paul says “us” in our opening verse, he is referring to “them” at the time and not us today)
Now the question is: can the children born to adopted children be bastards? Impossible! They are legitimate children.
Listen to me, you are a legitimate child of God predestined (to the good pleasure of God) to live in Christ today, and there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it. Abba Father!!!
May God reveal this mystery to you so that you live to the full capacity of your divine identity, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
