Little did even Hosea the prophet know that what God was telling him to tell the people in his generation would only be fulfilled in 700 years to come.
However, in 1Corinthians 15:3-4, the apostle Paul, said: “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures”
Paul, was referring to this portion of the recording that was given to the prophet Hosea (and probably other portions of scripture as well)
But you see, what looked at the time like a message limited to the nation of Israel was indeed a message carrying the destiny of all humankind, both Jews or Gentiles.
This better explains what the apostle Peter said in 2 Peter 1:20-21 “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost”
So, your personal interpretation of any Bible prophecy doesn’t really matter; God only meant what He said in the scriptures and not necessarily what you understood it to be. Ponder…
The apostle Philip in John 1:45 told his brother Nathanael,Β “We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph”
So, whatever interpretation of Bible prophecies you have, if they all do not culminate in the revelation of Christ, then you missed it. Ponder…
May the Holy Spirit grant you an understanding of Bible prophesies in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
