Today’s Devotionalโฆ
Purify your heart, and life will be beautiful just as God intended it. But how can you purify your heart?
Purity only exists in Christ; out of Him, everything is defiled. To purify yourself is to accept the perfection that Christ has given you in His finished works.
When you understand that the death of Christ took away sin from man, you will see your purity in Him as well as the purity of others.
To those who look at the world through the finished works of Christ, all men are righteous (so all things are pure). But to those who look at the world through the fall of Adam, all men are sinners (and all things are defiled). Ponderโฆ
The reason why some people just can’t accept the undiluted gospel of Christ no matter how plain it is presented, is simply because their hearts and defiled with sin consciousness – they see themselves as sinners, and everyone else as sinners.
Purify yourself; accept the finished works of Christ, for that is the only reality God holds of you. God only sees you through the cross of Christ, so purify yourself by looking at yourself from God’s perspective.
To the pure in heart, all things are pure. May the Holy Spirit help you purify your heart by drawing your identity from the finished works of Christ, in His holy name. Amen
