It is only when Jesus was lifted that He drew all sinful humanity unto Himself.
He could not just die in any position. He had to be lifted to fulfill the prophecy of Moses when he lifted the bronze serpent in the wilderness.
The lifted Christ was the embodiment of all sinful mankind, and so, His crucifixion was the judgment of all sinners.
When Christ was lifted, He was lifted together with the burdensome guilt of all sinful mankind, where judgment was executed and justice satisfied.
The lifted Christ is the mysterious expression of the glorious victory over sin and death.
It was in His lifting that humanity was included, regardless of race, tribe, or status.
It was in the lifting of Christ that Hope returned to mankind, and this hope has been realized today, in the expression of the new creation man. Ponder…
May the mystery of the lifted Christ be unveiled to you, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
